An issue with the 6.5kg twin tub washing machine, model TWM65TTAMFBE.
Health & Safety – An issue with the 6.5kg twin tub washing machine, model TWM65TTAMFBE, following reports of failed selector switches producing heat and smoke during use by the end user. We have identified a potential safety issue that may develop over time with this model resulting in melting of the plastic console surrounding the controls. TECO takes very seriously the quality and safety of the products supplied to our customers and consumers and as a result of the likelihood of moisture ingress over time to the control panel and electrical switch assembly, resulting in the possibility of shorting and overheating of the control selector switch, producing smoke and a risk of fire we have initiated a product recall following an incident in Tasmania that resulted in a fire within the machine. The recall notice has been initiated under ACCC & consumer law regulations for product safety.
